Timeline
2022 –
HeatSpring trains renewable energy and green building professionals. Over 100,000 registered users and more than 250 courses. The platform is where people earn the continuing education credits that manufacturers, permitting agencies, and incentive programs across North America require for certification.
We've been HeatSpring's design and development partner since 2022. We're responsible for modernising the platform and building its new features, from service design to code.
“I sleep well at night knowing the application is safe in your hands. And I wake up excited to see all of the cool new things you build.”
Co-Founder & Managing Partner at HeatSpring
We develop tools that make it easier for instructors to build course content and give students the support they need when they need it. We have redesigned the classroom twice, most recently in May 2026, and it now works properly on a phone. The instructor's knowledge-check tool reads a course video's captions and proposes multiple-choice questions, and the instructor picks which ones to publish.
Team leads at companies using HeatSpring can track their professionals' progress and manage course purchases with tools we've built. In June 2026 we rebuilt the team dashboard from the ground up, and teams got new course, activity, and review reports. Seats can be assigned before the invoice is paid, and purchase orders can be paid from the team credit balance.
We improved course discoverability, clarified messaging, and brought services for teams, instructors, and partners into the spotlight. In September 2026 the homepage got a new look. When a service is easier to understand, it sells better.
We developed a practice exam environment where users can prepare for certification exams. Students can practise exam questions against the clock, and instructors can set the question bank to rotate between exams. The platform reminds people before a qualification expires.
We completed the brand refresh Félix Meens did for HeatSpring in 2022 and updated dozens of pages to match the new look.
We helped develop a gamified subscription service, HeatSpring Pro, launched in September 2025. A year later we rebuilt the subscription model as two tiers: Plus keeps purchased courses open, Pro opens the whole course library and every badge. Pricing now lives on one page, Pro courses start in one click, and teams can buy Pro seats straight from the course page.
We joined in October on the corporate side. We rebuilt the For Teams pages, overhauled the team dashboard UI, and shipped team bulk purchasing with automatic discounts in December.
Almost everything users see was rebuilt: the classroom, the account area, the instructor tools, and the whole public site. Along the way we rolled Félix Meens's brand refresh out across dozens of pages.
Teams became organisations with sub-teams and reporting of their own. In July we rebuilt the instructor tools, and in August we shipped the first AI-suggested knowledge checks.
We built marketing automation on MJML templates and rebuilt the account area. In September we shipped HeatSpring Pro: the subscription, the badges, and a rewritten completion engine. The year ended on performance and security.
Teams got seat assignment, a credit balance, and new reports. In May we redesigned the classroom for the second time, and in June the team dashboard from the ground up. In September we shipped the rebuilt subscription product: Plus and Pro on one pricing page, a new course page, and new subscription management. The work continues.
